Finding the Dream Home: How Florida Landsea Homes Employees Are Becoming Happy Homeowners

At Landsea Homes, the commitment to crafting exceptional homes extends beyond its buyers. The proof is in the number of employees who are finding their own ideal living spaces in the very communities they help to create.

In the grand state of Florida, employees from Landsea Homes are discovering the company’s values of sustainability, unique home design and dedication to creating homes through the lens of “live in your element,” which has inspired many of them to buy their own dream homes in Florida communities.

Here’s a closer look at a few Landsea Homes employees who took the leap into homeownership.

Landsea Homes Employee Buys Her First Home in Palm Bay’s Country Club Estates

Summer was still fairly new on the job with her employer, Landsea Homes, when she and her partner decided to go from apartment dwelling to homeownership. As a first-time homebuyer, she faced all the uncertainties and jitters that entail entering the home market.

As it turned out, her fears were quickly dispelled.

“While it made a lot of sense to purchase from Landsea Homes given I was an employee, there were so many other standout things that made buying from Landsea the right choice for us,” said Summer. “The team was amazing, and their wealth of knowledge was unmatched,” she continued.

Country Club Estates, a gated master-planned community located in Palm Bay on the grounds of a former golf course, is where Summer took the leap into homeownership. Dotted with 100-year-old preserved oaks, featuring large central lakes, park area and rare extra-large lots, it is a relatively unknown gem in the growing Space Coast area.

As part of the due diligence of home buying, Summer checked out the competition. And home company bias aside, it really wasn’t competitive.

“The homes at Country Club Estates felt more modern than everything else in the area,” Summer said. “The community definitely stands out from surrounding communities. The homes don’t feel like the others – they feel more advanced.”

Growing Family Finds “Forever Home” at Marion Ridge

Matthew, a construction superintendent for Landsea Homes, and his wife Rachel were looking for a new home to fit the growing generational needs of their family. With a teenager, a toddler and parents whom they anticipated would move in with them eventually, the family was in search of a home that would carry them through all of the distinct stages of their lives.

They found everything on their home wish list when they stepped foot into the model homes at Marion Ridge by Landsea Homes in Haines City, Florida. The new single-family home community is located right off U.S. 27 and minutes to I-4, making it a prime location between Orlando and Tampa.

“We were looking for a very special home, and it was ultimately at Marion Ridge that we found it,” said Matthew. “It’s a big two-story home with guest rooms and just a very-well-thought-out home in terms of design and floor plan.”

“We put a lot of thought into what we wanted in a house,” said Rachel. “We also really liked the proximity to shopping and restaurants, knowing there is even more to come in the future.”

No More Renters’ Headaches for New Homeowner at Legacy Landings

Jorge was done with renting and ready to become a homeowner.

As a customer care representative for Landsea Homes, he knew just where to look and whom to talk with. It only took a couple of weeks before Jorge, his girlfriend, daughter and their Goldendoodle had closed on a brand new townhome.

Jorge is now the proud owner of a three-bedroom, two-and-one-half bathroom, 1,612-square-foot townhome at Legacy Landings, one of several Landsea Homes communities in Davenport, Florida, about midway between Orlando and Lakeland.

“The area is one of the largest growing areas in Central Florida. I know the land value will maintain, and I know the builder – they are one of the best in the area,” Jorge said. “Legacy Landings is quiet, and we’re ten minutes from everything. We’re near enough to the city without all of the hustle and bustle.”

In addition to being a representative for Landsea Homes, Jorge has a background in building and construction, having previously installed drywall for a number of builders. As a result, he has seen Landsea Homes’ commitment to quality firsthand.

“Time and time again, I can honestly say that Landsea Homes is one of the best homebuilders in the business.”

An Unexpected Journey to Homeownership at Sky Lakes Estates

Andrew had always dreamed of owning his own home, but like many first-time buyers, he approached the process with cautious optimism.

Andrew hadn’t considered himself a candidate for purchasing a home by Landsea Homes, where he worked for the last two years as a purchaser, and he hesitated because he didn’t know if he could qualify.

“I ran into our director of sales, and I told him I was looking for my first home. He encouraged me to have a conversation with Landsea Mortgage before making any final decisions,” Andrew said. “I’m so glad I did because they showed me that I could buy a Landsea home, and the incentives they were offering dropped my mortgage rate significantly, which made a huge difference.”

Andrew bought a townhome at Sky Lakes Estates in St. Cloud, Florida, close enough to Walt Disney World® Resort and conveniently near US-192 and Narcoossee Road, which placed him centrally between Kissimmee and Lake Nona amenities.

Throughout his home buying journey, Andrew found the team at Landsea Homes to be incredibly supportive and helpful. “I’m lucky enough to work with wonderful Landsea Homes employees every day, but being able to experience their incredible customer service during the sales process firsthand was awesome.”

Slice of City Life at Harrell Oaks

When Krys started house hunting, he had one nonnegotiable – he wanted to live close to Downtown Orlando, in a home where deeper roots could grow.

Also known as “The City Beautiful,” Orlando is home to shopping, nightlife, award-winning restaurants, historical hotels, museums and scenic walking paths throughout its 2.5-mile radius of beautiful space.

Currently a land acquisition analyst for Landsea Homes, Krys had his eye on the homebuilder’s newest community, Harrell Oaks, which is a 15-minute drive to Orlando, Winter Park and Baldwin Park.

“The main reason I was interested in Harrell Oaks is because it’s close to Downtown Orlando, whose lifestyle is unbeatable,” Krys said. “When it came to looking for a house, I was very location driven. There are no other new-construction homes currently selling in this area, so I knew how rare and great this opportunity was.”

Krys had a wonderful experience working with Landsea Homes, as he went from curious homebuyer to holding a “Sold” sign next to his plot of land.

“I actually went to the vacant lot to make my decision,” Krys said. “I looked at the ground, looked at the dirt and said ‘yes, this is my spot.’ I will enjoy watching it being built from the ground up.”
